Weekly Report – 6th November 2020

Burnhouse Lochan Fishery – Weekly Report: 30.10.20 – 06.11.20

The Autumnal weather could not have been more variant this week! From stunning flat calms where the fish could be seen feeding just below the surface and big bow waves causing excitement! To horizontal rain and gale force winds where only the brave and hardened ventured out!

The best days fishing came in the worst weather conditions, when not one angler blanked, and the most impressive fish of the week were caught! Sometimes it pays off to live on the wild side!

There is a large holding of fish in the shallower water at the bridge, perhaps due to the brownies spawning in the burn.  Buzzers, stalking bugs, and mini eggs bringing the most success in the shallows. In the deeper water whites and brights have been the key to success.
