Unfortunately, we feel the need to recap on some of the rules here at Burnhouse:
*Anglers should only use SINGLE barbless hooks.
*ALL tickets purchased entitle anglers to use only ONE rod at a time, multiple rod use is strictly forbidden.
*Rod share is allowed but only ONE rod should be used between the anglers.
*ALL fish over 8lb, tigers and browns MUST be returned to the water and time should be taken to recover them, please do not take these fish out of the water, if you are unsure please keep the fish in the water until assistance arrives. Our grade A fish are expensive to buy in especially our double figure fish. These fish should only be killed if they will not return or are in poor condition and that decision should only be made by the bailiff.

* When fishing a catch and release ticket please keep the fish in the water whilst unhooking and take the time to safely return the fish. DO NOT use dry hands to handle the fish and the fish should NEVER be placed on our platforms or bankings. We pride ourselves on the quality of the fish we stock and we wish to maintain those high standards.
*Catch and release anglers are NOT permitted to kill fish and give them to anglers fishing kill tickets.
* If you find yourself on a hotspot and there are other anglers on the water please move on after 5 fish to allow other anglers to fish that spot.

It’s been a great week here at Burnhouse, we have seen some spectacular sport and great returns. Thank you to all of our anglers this week, we look forward to seeing you again.

Tight lines for the week ahead!
