It has been a very cold week with frost in the morning and bright sunny afternoons. It’s not been the best conditions for our anglers however there has still been some good catches despite this. Water temperature is now down to 7 degrees.
Ross Martin (Bannockburn) landed 3 trout before he safely returned them, all were caught on a cut throat cat. Ian McLaren (Stirling) returned 2 blues on a yellow dancer. Eddie Hunt (Cumbernauld) weighed in 2 rainbows for 5lb 10oz both were caught on a cat’s whisker. Cammy MacFarlane (Denny) on a c/r ticket landed and returned 1 rainbow fishing on a Daiwl Bach. Davey MaGuinness (Larkhall) managed an impressive 17 fish using a floating line and a lime green blob.
The Lochan has been frozen over this week. Please check on the Facebook page or the Website for updates. That’s all for this week. Hope to see you on the water soon! To place a booking call Gary on 07889603160 or Virginia on 07742755737
