Tropical June...fishing really well!
Week ending the Sunday 10th June 2018Another tropical week with a lovely burst of fresh water to top up the Lochan with a relatively small amount of thunder/lightning.
Eddie Brown (Wishaw) and his son had a nice 3lb 6oz rainbow on an Red Bloodworm, Davey McGuiness (Bellshill) returned 5 all caught on an Orange Blob, Calum Cowen (Bannockburn) released 2 using an Ally McCoist, John Fleming (Shield Hill) caught 2 rainbows for 6lb 2oz on an Olive Nymph, Alan Laird released a lovely fish on the evening session using a Humpy.
Fisherman of the week was: Howard Penny (Cumbernauld) 11 fish released all caught on dry’s with the most popular being a Black Shipman Buzzer followed by a Daddy Long Legs.
Erskine White Cart Improvement Angling Association were booked on Sunday (16 rods) and took home 30 fish weighing in total 74lbs 10oz. Well done boys and their most popular fly was a Black Spider Lure.
