Yet again the Scottish weather has proved that there are four seasons in one hour! Never mind the lochan has been on high water alert and still fished really well. The water temperature is holding at 6 degrees with wind and rain a constant challenge, but our diehards still persevered. David Ford (Haggs) had 4 fish on c/r ticket using Yellow Dancer, Jim Ivatt (Alloa) had ten fish on Yellow Blood Worm, Alan Smith (Cumbernauld) had 15 fish on c/r using Hot Headed Black Rabbit, Alex Britton (Bellshill) had10 on c/r with Yellow Fozzie and F--k up, Davie MaGuinness (Coatbridge) had 8 on Green Beaded Blood Worm, Sunday was the Iain Barr World Bankmasters qualifier event and we must thank everyone for participating in the event good day was had by all. First place went to Alan Smith (Cumbernauld) a total of 21 points, 2nd was Alex Britton(Bellshill) with15 points, 3rd place was Dave MaGuinness (Coat bridge) with11 points and 4th place went to Murray Hunter (Plean) with10 points.

The Lochan is starting to produce some early hatches so come and enjoy the great sport – free Tea/Coffee
